Untouched by time, the Montegrosso suburb is located just few Km from the city centre, in the very heart of the Murgia hills. Poorly inhabited from farmers, it brings the sings of its history in the restored Renaissance Palace of the Belgioioso Duke . Originally a one-storied building, called “Torre” (Tower), the Palace is today a two-storied building rising next to the church. In the interior, a fresco, attests that in 1861 the Duke was the owner of the Palace. Once you arrive here it is so easy to be enchanted by an ancient serenity, proudly kept by the farms, who inhabited this area.
